31 Dec Wishing you a Safe and Happy New Year
We wish everyone a Safe, Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year. Please be careful on the roads this New Year’s Eve.
It’s been a busy year at Sallee Horse Vans and we couldn’t have done it without our customers. We thank you.
Our top priority is providing the best care for your horses during travel, whether it’s across town or the country. We get a lot of questions about how we keep horses comfortable during travel. Our top-notch care is how we separate ourselves in the industry.
There are a lot of factors that can impact your horse’s comfort en route—temperature, humidity, noise and vibrations, air quality, stall space, how the animals are loaded and unloaded, and trailer design. We account for these factors when we build our custom trailers and in how we handle each and every horse. We also consider many other factors such as previous experiences a horse may have had during transport—positive or negative. It is our goal to give every horse a good experience loading and travelling on Sallee Horse Vans.
One of the most important things to ensuring safe and comfortable horse transport is preparation. As a horse owner, you can minimize potential problems and discomfort by making sure each horse is fit for travel. If there’s any question, check with your veterinarian. Depending on your horse, you may choose to bandage his/her legs, wrap the halter, and maybe even their tail. You can make that decision based on if the horse is used to being bandaged or not. We also have video monitors in each area of the trailer so that we can monitor your horse throughout the trip.
We believe that you can never be too safe when it comes to such precious cargo. Feel free to contact us any time if you have questions about how we can make your horse more comfortable while in our care.
