In Kentucky, not only humans, but horses travel in style. It is the job of Nicole, owner of Sallee Horse Vans, to make certain that top equines from around the world make it to their destination safely. Her company transports thoroughbreds and other breeds throughout the U.S. and Canada. In a male-dominated business, Sallee prides itself on having “a core group of young vibrant women who share excitement on growing the company.” Nicole has always been an avid equestrian. Before buying the business five years ago, she regularly competed in three-day eventing and served as the Program Service Director for the U.S. Pony Clubs. She feels incredibly lucky to have grown up in the Horse Capital of the World, and be surrounded by a community that embraces the racing culture. However, Nicole also loves the rare time she gets to spend relaxing on her favorite beach in Hollywood, Florida.
